Cruise the Aitutaki Lagoon

Aitutaki's most unique feature is its stunning lagoon

With 12,500 kilometers of beauty, the Aitutaki Lagoon is a jewel in the crown of the Cook Islands group.

Non-commercial and untouched, the Aitutaki Lagoon is a must see, full of marine life and sparkling blue for as far as the eye can see.

Aitutaki Lagoon is dotted with 21 tiny motus (uninhabited islands). Visit One Foot Island (Tapuaetai), a deserted atoll idyll in the middle of the lagoon with unbelievable white sand beaches stretching out in to the pale blue waters of the lagoon.

The Survivor television series recently filmed on two of Aitutaki Lagoon's uninhabited motus.  There's no sign of their habitation left now but its interesting to see where all the action happened.

Take a lagoon tour on board one of the island's cruising boats to take in all these amazing sights and enjoy the best snorkelling spots on the water, a fresh fish barbecue lunch and the most superb scenery you're ever likely to experience.

Or if you're tying the knot in the Cook Islands this year, why not get married out on one of the motus. Exclusive, intimate and romantic, Aitutaki can make your wedding day unforgettable. Read more about weddings on Aitutaki...
