While the market is open every day, Saturday is the big market day on Aitutaki.  Make sure you visit the market to experience local culture, pick up some fresh local produce and meet the people of Aitutaki and your fellow tourists.

Get there early to buy fresh fish, try local vegetables like taro or star fruit. Listen to some local ukulele playing and have a great morning strolling the stalls.  You might pick up a bargain on local arts and crafts.  Look out for woven goods, distinctive souvenirs of your South Pacific holiday.

Just remember, while we love some friendly banter, it is not our custom to bargain.  The price you see is the price you pay.
