Diving Aitutaki
Untouched and pristine, Aitutaki Lagoon's spectacular reef is a diver's dream. Aitutaki's geological formation over millions of years means there are amazing caves, canyons and walls to explore.
Incredible visibility in crystal clear waters provides divers with unparalleled views of coral, wrecks and an excellent variety of sea life, including sharks. Water temperatures vary between 23 and 30 degrees celcius.
Join Aitutaki's professional dive teams for a day to remember. Aitutaki Scuba have been diving the atoll's amazing waters for over 15 years and know where to go to get the most of your trip.
View massive schools of Trevally, dive with a diversity of sharks or later in the year, if you're lucky, watch huge whales at play in the ocean. While Pilot Whales swim the waters of the Cook Islands year round, Humpback whales visit Aitutaki anytime from July to September, after their long arduous journey from Antartica, to bear their young. In 2001 the Cook Islands declared its waters a whale sanctuary.
